"An Adventure in Bread Around the World: Creation" (TRANSIT Issue 65) traced the history of bread from its origins in ancient Mesopotamia and ancient Egypt. Due to popular demand, we are now bringing you the sequel, "Creation," a year later. Bread spread across the continent and continued to evolve in various regions. From the sandwich, which developed in Africa and Southeast Asia due to colonization, to the sweet bread that flourished in Northern Europe and Latin America, there is still much to be said about the relationship between bread and human history. We will explore the background of food that was born alongside the tragedies of colonization, immigration, and war. We will explore the bread boom that is surging around the world and the culture surrounding it.
