The Local Project – Issue 04

An architecture and design publication exploring how locality shapes design, interior design and architecture in homes, houses and spaces.

Published three times a year, the Local Project print periodical is a curated insight into the latest architecture and design in Australia and New Zealand.

Issue No. 04 of The Local Project is a substantial volume of over 330 pages of articles, interviews and photography. Including new projects by Richards & Spence, studiofour, Room11, Templeton Architecture and Brad Swartz Architects and more. Issue No. 04 also represents the first time that veteran Australian architect Paul Couch’s work has been published in print. Profiles on Rufus Knight of Knight Associates, grazia&co, Shannon McGrath and more are also included. Featured on the cover, La Scala by Richards & Spence tells the story of an ambitious vision for a small site tucked into an inner-city pocket of Brisbane. It is a building that challenges assumptions about residential architecture and embodies seemingly conflicting dualities – something the project does with ease.
