This quarter, we delve into the subject of cleanliness—because in the cafe, cleanliness is not merely a matter of aesthetics, but of trust. We cafe-lurkers may tolerate and even celebrate a degree of chaos, but we will not abide by a space that feels unsanitary.

A cafe that fails to uphold this distinction risks more than displeased patrons; it risks its very survival. And if there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that we very much want our favourite coffee shops to survive!
