Slanted Magazine – Issue 48: Seoul

Slanted is a German design magazine dedicated to typography, graphic design and contemporary visual culture.

Issue 48, “Seoul”, explores South Korea’s current creative landscape through graphic design, typography, illustration, architecture, product design and digital media. The issue brings together work from Seoul, other parts of South Korea and international contributors connected to the country’s design scene.

A central feature introduces 16 studios and creatives visited by the Slanted team, including 6699Press, AABB, bokdo, Bowyer, Daeki and Jun, Everyday Practice, Ordinary People, Sparks Edition and WORKS. Their portraits and accompanying interviews offer a closer look at working methods, influences and the people behind the projects.

Essays and additional 10 × 10 interviews expand the view beyond graphic design, examining the cultural forces shaping Seoul today — from K-pop and fashion to technology and urban life. The result is a broad snapshot of a design scene defined by experimentation, strong typography and a rapidly evolving visual language.
