Taking the form of a quarterly magazine, HUNGER has always been a space for those with a real appetite for knowledge and a place for those who want change.

We have always prided ourselves on blending the high and low of culture; fashion, beauty, music, arts, alongside meaningful discussions about what it means to exist in today’s politically charged world. But HUNGER is also a place where you can take a well-deserved break — a leaf through our pages or website will introduce you to a plethora of up-and-coming talent, profiles on creatives who are really moving the needle in their respective fields, as well as insightful features on the latest pop culture trends. Issue 36: Trust Your Gut

Making a magazine isn’t like following a recipe. There’s no secret formula, no neat little map to follow. You’ve just got to feel your way through it. You know when it’s working and you definitely know when it’s not, and half the time you don’t have a clue where you’re going until you’re already halfway there.

Truth is, we didn’t kick off this issue with a big masterplan. We just knew we had to make it happen. And sometimes, that’s the best way. You start pulling threads, experimenting, scrapping things that don’t fit, chasing the ones that do, and suddenly the shape of it appears.

So this time, we decided to name it TRUST YOUR GUT. As for us, that’s what HUNGER has always been about, chasing the sparks of talent on the horizon, giving space to the voices that move us, sometimes before the mainstream has caught on to them yet.
