frankie magazine – Issue 82
frankie magazine is a national bi-monthly based in Australia, aimed at women (and men) looking for a magazine that’s as smart, funny, sarcastic, friendly, cute, rude, arty, curious and caring as they are. We cover design, art, photography, fashion, travel, music, craft, interiors and real-life stories – we aim to surprise and delight readers with every turn of our beautifully matte pages, and have a good old laugh while doing so.
do you hear that, frankie fellows? it’s the tap-a-tap of our feet doing an excited jig, because frankie issue 82 is now out in the world! inside its nice-smelling pages you’ll find a photographic tour of cuba, complete with swing-dancing locals and sweet pastel hues, plus a hot sauce road test that sent us dashing for water. there’s also a dance club for lgbti elders; an investigation into the history of women’s hairstyles; and a new generation of school teachers sporting flowing locks and oodles of tattoos. after an embroidered protest sign? we can help you out with that, as well as a cake that looks alarmingly like it’s covered in pom poms, and some obscure words to slip into conversation, like ‘griffonage’ and ‘borborygmus’. if that’s not enough, there’s a handy-dandy guide to camping, and an argument for telling people ‘no’ without even a little bit of guilt. oh, and roughly a metric tonne of sweet reads, snazzy fashion and designs, travel tales, music, art, photography and general top stuff. hope you dig it!
