Attitude Magazine – Number 83: Quietude
ATTITUDE Interior Design is a bimonthly international magazine focused on Interiors, Architecture, Design, Art and Lifestyle, with a worldwide distribution and based in Porto, Portugal.
In the wake of an edition that took us to Israel, involving an intense schedule – checking in and out practically every day, various journeys between locations and a string of commitments, interviews and productions to carry out (meeting the tight timings that come hand-in-hand in these situations) – our teams’ implicit desire to slow down was, undeniably, unanimous.
This inspired the plans for this edition which, over the course of two months, took shape under the theme Quietude (Sossego).
Among the choices that seemed the most fitting, and others that were clearly, essential, – encompassing, as usual, the fields of arts, architecture, design and interiors – you will find names of international renown, such as Vincent Van Duysen (page 62) and Piet Boon (page 78).
As the highest expression of formal and functional balance, the work of both reveals a surgical-like focus, expressed through the choice and treatment of materials (mostly natural and tactile), in the interplay of textures, chromatic softness and subtlety of details.
They are compositions of refined and poetic beauty, appealing to a state of quietude. Exactly the kind that we wanted to convey in these pages, with a view to transporting you to serene and particularly contemplative settings.
Once again, with Attitude in your hands, all you need to do is choose the best moment in the day to relish it.
Free of distractions.
